Introducing Mike Harshaw

Mike Harshaw is a Canadian drummer, Hailing from Grimsby, Ontario.

Mike has been playing drums for about 17 years, and started his drumming career at the age of 13 when he began studying with Joe Shuker.

Before entering high school Mike had started his first local band with friends, which resulted in a battle of the bands victory leading to his first studio experience as the prize.

Mike continued studying music throughout high school and joined the band “Nexus” (Now know as Profaner). After recording the Profaner debut record “Signs of Nine” Mike was recruited by local thrash act “Mastery”. Mastery had just formed a new line-up including Billy Milano (SOD/MOD) on vocals.

After living in Texas for half a year writing and recording the album “In the Key of Kill”, Mike landed an audition with Canadian metal band “Annihilator”, and became a member from 2011 until 2016. During his time with Annihilator, he had the opportunity to play a variety of festivals, including Wacken (2013 & 2015), Hellfest, Graspop, Sweden Rock, Rock Hard, 70000 Tons of Metal, Metal Days, as well as multiple headlining tours across Europe, Russia and South America. Mike was also part of the studio line-up for the albums “Feast” and “Suicide Society”.

Mike parted ways with Annihilator in 2016 and has kept himself quite busy with multiple bands, live/studio session work, as well as teaching. Mike currently pounds the skins for “Prismind”, “Warmachine”, “Jack Sith” (Classic Rock Covers), “Sparred no Expense” and has most recently joined the ranks of Toronto metal band “Phear”.
